There are always some shoes that will never go out of fashion for us or always seem to reappear in our wardrobe. Like our beloved Converse that we will only throw away when they are worn to death, or Nike Airmax sneakers that from time to time make a surprising come back, or Minnetonka shoes. To be precise: the Minnetonka Thunderbird Moccasins. They are those type of shoes that can be worn whenever, wherever and with whatever. Very excited we were when we heard about the collaboration of Minnetonka with LA-based fashion brand Wren. And even more excited when we watched the campaign video of it. We love the indie look and feel of this video with music from Guards.

Last night, we were invited to go to the Yahoo! On the Road tour, which is the world’s first mobile entertainment and innovation festival organized by Yahoo. This tour started out yesterday in Europe, where the indie pop duo Capital Cities rocked the stage at the Astra Kulturhaus in Berlin. The Los Angeles based act definitely showed us why their song “safe and sound” is getting played over and over on every radio station. Capital Cities and their supporting act, Claire, unquestionably blasted out their addictive beats at Astra Kulturhaus Berlin, with the Capital Cities Shuffle as just one of the many highlights.

Next stop on the road will be Munich at the 13th, where Seed and James Hersey will heat up Circus Krone. And for all those who haven’t been as lucky as us, Yahoo! On the Road is also handing out some tickets on the day of the concert.

Places to be:

  • Yahoo! Office,  Theresienhöhe 12, 80339 Munich
  • Cadu – Cafe,  Ludwigstr. 24, 80539 Munich
  • Cafe Soda, Türkenstr. 51, 80799 Munich
  • P1,  Prinzregentenstr. 1, 80538 Munich

So don’t miss it, it’s absolutely worth it!

Currently obsessed with this short film “When Brave Bird Saved” of British folkhero Laura Marling, which she had made to promote her new album “Once I Was An Eagle”. The film features the first four songs of her new album Once I Was An Eagle. Luckily, the new album got released last week so we do not have to wait anymore for the other 12 remaining songs. On repeat, on repeat, on repeat.
